The G1 cartoon and other timelines portrayed the Decepticons' alien forms as "Tetrajets," which essentially resemble flying triangles. In pretty much every continuity, Starscream and the Seekers transform into some type of jet, be it an Earth-based model or a Cybertronian vehicle. Interestingly enough, in Armada, Starscream's Powerlinx upgrade sees him take on his fellow Seeker's traditional blue color scheme. Despite this, he wasn't merely a repaint and had a completely unique body style. In Transformers: Cybertron, Thundercracker was once again a blue and gray jet Decepticon who had a similar looking head as Starscream in robot mode. Likewise, while he was a Conehead, he didn't share the same body style as Starscream. For instance, Transformers: Armada introduced a version of Thrust that was green instead of his usual maroon color. In some continuities, certain iconic members aren't related to Starscrean, at all. Beyond the similar appearances, however, the Seekers are rarely shown as ever being particularly close to Starscream. They're named as such due to the nosecones of their vehicle modes surrounding their heads in robot mode. There are also the "Coneheads," whose members include Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. Beyond Thundercracker and Skywarp, lesser known Seekers include Sunstorm, Acid Storm and Redwing. The Seekers all have the same body type as Starscream, reflecting how their toys are merely repaints of his. The Seekers are a group of jet Transformers that Starscream leads, and they have more in common than just alternate modes. Though being a superior leader to the Decepticons is sometimes his ultimate goal, in a lot of cases, the leader of the Seekers is merely out for himself. Different continuities play with this in different ways, with Starscream either defiantly opposing Megatron or being a sniveling coward who skulks from the shadows. Starscream is usually shown wanting to lead the Decepticon cause himself, putting him in conflict with Megatron. Transformers: Armada altered this to where Starscream instead had shoulder-mounted cannons, with his wings also transforming into swords while in robot mode. In robot mode, he and his Seekers are armed with twin null ray cannons on their arms. Starscream's scientific pursuits largely give way to anything that further his power and ambition. In his former profession, he was actually friends with fellow jet Transformer Jetfire, though the latter ended up joining the Autobots. In the original series, Starscream was a former scientist who joined Megatron's army of Decepticons.
